RTA Ermine delves into the symbolism of the black tail spot of the Arctic weasel, which has historically adorned coats of arms and adorned the regal fur trims, often with the addition of crowns. These distinctive ermine spots gained popularity as they were utilized for double linings of mantles (capes) and as standalone charges on shields. Notably, the designated shield of Britain proudly features ermine spots as its decorative motif. RTA Ermine is a font inspired by the artistic work of Gary Smith from Round Table Arms (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/RoundTableArms), and the use of these images has been granted permission.
